Lymphatic drainage massage in Brighton and Hove
If an ordinary massage feels like too much, this is the gentlest hour we offer. Lymphatic drainage massage uses very light, slow, rhythmic strokes that work just under the skin, not deep into the muscle. 60 minutes, £72.
What is lymphatic drainage massage?
Your lymphatic system is a network of vessels that carries fluid around your body. Lymphatic drainage massage uses light, repeated, sweeping strokes in the direction that fluid flows. The pressure is so light it can feel like almost nothing. That is how it is meant to feel.
The NHS describes manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) as specialised massage that “stimulates the flow of fluid in the lymphatic system and reduces swelling”, used to treat lymphoedema, and says it is “usually carried out by a specialist therapist”. Source: NHS: Lymphoedema treatment
